Chicks

I purchased the chick pattern from the Glyph Girls. I did not have time to do the glyph with my students, so I just made all the eggs the same color. I made the boys yellow dots and the girls pink dots. I ask a lovely assistant to  display one of the girl and boy chicks that we made! Please visit the Glyph Girls store by clicking here!

Easter Basket

Silly me forgot to post the picture of the adorable Easter Baskets!

Fun and Relaxing Day

Today has been a very relaxing day for the children as well as me. We have done some test review this morning, but are doing fun Easter activities this afternoon! To start our Easter fun we made edible Easter baskets. One of the veteran teachers at my school shared this very cute idea with me, and I knew I must make them with my students! I have posted a picture so you can see what it looks like!
We are also watching the movie Hop, and making a glyph that I purchased from the Glyph Girls on Teachers Pay Teachers! If you have not ever visited their site please do by clicking here. I will post pictures of our chicks once they are made.
My students will also be applying for the job of the Easter Bunny or the Easter Bunny’s assistant. I have posted the item on Teachers Pay Teachers if anyone would like to do it with their students!
I hope you have a wonderful Easter!

I will be making the review fun, but we have lots to cover in a short amount of time! I think my children will do wonderful on the test! They are a super class! I hope that your Spring Breaks were great! I will be posting more items to TPT this week!

I am posting some pictures of my classroom door throughout the year. I am not married and still live at home with my parents, so they are able to help me A LOT, and I mean A LOT! They are both extremely talented and creative!

I have just posted an even and odd item on Teachers Pay Teachers. This item contains odd and even number cards as well as two posters to use in your classroom to teach odd and even numbers! I used them in my classroom to teach the concept, and most of my students understood the concept very quickly. The odd and even cards have different backgrounds to help students see the difference in the two. Please check out this item at my Teachers Pay Teachers store. Click on the link to take you to the item. http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Odd-and-Even-Cards-and-Posters.

I have finally jumped on the blogging band wagon after debating on it for A LONG time! I just love all the teaching blogs, and I felt that I needed to join in, so I could share my classroom ideas as well! I am a huge fan of many of the first grade bloggers and use many of their items in my classroom!
On another note.... Spring Break for us is next week! I am very excited, but I have a full schedule of things that I want to get done! I am going to try to make some Teacher Pay Teacher items, hang out with family and friends, and of course shop! We are getting very close to taking the Stanford Test at our school, so the next few weeks will be mostly review. :( I will be posting pictures and getting my blog cutter! I hope that my ideas help you in your classroom. If you have any questions please contact me at eliabarn29@gmail.com.
